Megan Murday
Megan Murday is a senior studying International Politics in the SFS. When not emailing speakers and planning content for WAH, Megan serves as President of the SFS Academic Council, interns at the State Department, and catches up on the recent issues of InStyle and The Economist.
Dan Silkman
Dan (COL ’15) is a Government major and Education minor from Greenwich, Connecticut. During his time on the Hilltop, Dan has been actively involved with New Student Orientation, Relay For Life, DC Reads, and now with Corp Philanthropy and the College Academic Council. When he’s not busy posting on Facebook about Relay, Dan can be found in the front row at a Hoyas basketball game, at home watching “House of Cards,” or waiting in line at UG for a large iced coffee.
Thomas Lloyd
Thomas Lloyd is a senior in the SFS, studying STIA with a concentration in Security Studies. He is the eternal President of GUPride and an RA in Village C East. Thomas joined GUSA to finally answer the question “What’s A Hoya” but is glad that he is able to bring his experience with intersectional advocacy to a broader audience.
Courtney Maduike
Courtney Maduike is a sophomore in the SFS from Los Angeles, CA majoring in Culture and Politics and pursuing a minor in International Development. In addition to being a “What’s a Hoya” Coordinator this year, she is a sister of Delta Phi Epsilon Professional Foreign Service Sorority, a member of the SFSAC Special Events Committee, and a Blue and Gray Tour Guide. Enamored by Georgetown and its Jesuit principles, Courtney is constantly trying to improve her person and truly grasp what it means to be a Hoya.
Nevada Schadler
Nevada Schadler is a senior in the College, double majoring in American Studies and Government. As a former Escape Leader, GOLD Coordinator, and current leader for Chi Alpha and Head of the Jack Crew she loves nothing more than reflection, getting in touch with feelings, and everything Georgetown. Neve joined the “What a Hoya” team to make sure every new student remembers that no matter who they are, they are an essential and irreplaceable part of the Hoya family.
Joanie Greve
Joanie Greve is a senior in the College majoring in English and French. She gave up almost all of her extracurricular commitments for her last year at Georgetown, but she can still be found cashing out customers at Vital Vittles and leading discussions around campus on sexual assault education, which is what brought her to “What’s a Hoya.”
Scott Lowder
Scott Lowder is a sophomore in the College from the San Francisco Bay Area majoring in Political Economy with a planned minor in Business Administration. Along with his role as a co-coordinator of What’s a Hoya, he is a GOLD Mentor, GAAP State Chair, and an Advocate with the Student Advocacy Office. As a current yearlong Village B resident, Scott knows the benefits of “What’s A Hoya?” firsthand and is thrilled to help bring this enriching program to a new class of Hoyas!
