GUSA is proud to announce our Hoya of the Week, NHS sophomore Shradha Chhabria.
Shradha is a member of the NHS Academic Council, which enables effective communication between students and administrators. She is dedicated to improving the academic experience in the NHS for current and future Georgetown students.
Shradha also has a strong interest in global health, which she has applied to medical mission trips to Haiti. Over the past few years, Shradha has traveled to Haiti multiple times to work in clinics and promote global health. Her passion for helping others shines through in her work abroad.
Her passion also extends to her work as an ESCAPE leader. She serves as a mentor for first-year and transfer students as they navigate the transition to Georgetown. Shradha is exceptionally willing to talk with new students and share her story to help them adapt to life of the Hilltop.
Shradha is also an active member of the interfaith community. She is the secretary of the Campus Ministry Student Forum, which promotes collaboration between faith-based student groups. She is also a member of the Hindu Students Association and is engaged in learning about other religions. She has participated in interreligious events hosted by the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace and World Affairs and the Georgetown Interfaith Students Association.
Shradha’s desire to connect with others and help those in need makes her the Hoya of the Week.
