The Multicultural Council (MC) aims to create a constant and direct line of communication between cultural groups, communities of color and the GUSA executive as well as to promote cross-cultural interactions between the entire Georgetown community. Through programs and advocacy work, we hope to bring cultural diversity to the forefront of Georgetown.

Projects
Multicultural Week
Series of co-sponsored events aimed at bringing different cultural organizations together to explore of each of their unique cultures through traditional events and food, speakers and discussion panels. See photos from the 1st annual Multicultural Week here! The 2nd Annual Multicultural Week will be from January 24 – 30th, 2016.
Townhalls
Townhall-style events to bring attention to student-led initiatives that promote diversity on campus and help garner further student understanding and support. In the past we've had town halls with the Latinx Leadership Forum on the Casa Latina and the Last Campaign for Academic Reform on the diversity requirement.
Student Leader Networking Dinners
Forum hosted with the Center for Student Engagement and the Council of Advisory Boards to bring student leaders together from various campus communities in one room to spark dialogue and create unexpected connections that forge partnerships for future events and programming.
Diversity Roundtables
Workshops hosted with the Career Center and different student groups each month to serve as a forum and resource on diversity in the job application process, and in the workplace.
